The New York Post reports that Salma Hayek and her fiancé, Francois-Henri Pinault, bought Kelsey Grammer’s five-bedroom, 1930s-era home for $20 million-plus. “We absolutely loved the home,” Grammer reportedly told The Post’s Braden Keil. “We are thrilled Salma bought the house.” Grammer (who also has a home in Malibu) has reportedly bought another house closer to the Fox studios, where he will be taping his new show. Hayek and Pinault are expecting a baby soon.

Great news everybody! There seems to be a new project on the horizon for Salma! She will lend her voice to the Disney-animated movie South of the Border. Here’s what the article in The Hollywood Reporter said.
“South of the Border” chronicles the adventures of a pampered Beverly Hills chihuahua named Chloe (Drew Barrymore) accustomed to riding in a purse. While on vacation in Mexico, she gets lost and must rely on her friends to help her get back home. Andy Garcia is playing a German shepherd who was kicked off the police force because he lost his sense of smell and has now given up on life. Salma Hayek is Chloe’s spirit guide who helps her find her true heritage. George Lopez is Papi, a macho romantic Chihuahua who will do anything for the love of Chloe. Piper Perabo was previously cast as the Chloe’s human owner searching for her lost pet.
Also lending their voices to the live-action movie in which the animals talk is a who’s who of Latino actors including Cheech Marin, Paul Rodriguez, Placido Domingo, Edward James Olmos and Eddie “Piolin” Sotelo.
David Hoberman, Todd Lieberman and John Jacobs are producing the film, which was written by Jeff Bushell and Analisa Labianco.

Your eyes are not decieveing you – a new layout is up here at Salma Hayek Web! After nearly 6 months with the old one, I felt it was time for some changes. The new version is, as you all can see, lighter and more summer-ish with a photo Salma posed for back in 2003. I really hope you like the new look.
I’ve also put up a new layout at the gallery. It’s only a temp ’till I can come up with something better. Hehe. I used a photo from the same photoshoot as the one you can see at the top of this layout.
Last but not least, the news at Salma Hayek Web is now powered by the great wordpress! All the articles I’ve posted on the site since the opening can now be read in the archives. And now you can all start commenting again. Haha. Enjoy, and don’t forget to leave a comment!
