To celebrate the very last day of 2007, a fantastic year for Salma, I’ve added an exclusive set of DVD captures from her first English-speaking movie – “Roadracers”! Salma stars as Donna, the girlfriend of David Arquette’s main character. While the movie itself isn’t the best, Salma looks absolutely adorable in it and you can really see potential in her acting. I’ve also added apicture from the DVD menu and a new promotional photo for the movie. To sum it up, the new pics are all worth a view. And lastly, Happy New Year to all of you!

I just wanted to write a quick thanks to all the visitors – thank you for visiting the site this past year, and for all your contributions. 2007 has been such a big year for Salma – a daughter has been born, she has a loving new fiancé, the huge success of “Ugly Betty” and even an Emmy-nomination! Let’s hope next year will be an even better one, with, hopefully, at least one new movie to look forward to! Happy holidays, merry christmas and a very happy new year!

The nominations for the 65th Annual Golden Globe Awards have been revealed today, and “Across the Universe” was nominated for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. The movie, coming to DVD in February next year, has Salma as a singing nurse in a quick cameo, and she’s singing back-up on a song in the soundtrack as well.

America Ferrera, the star of Salma’s “Ugly Betty” also recieved a nomination, for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy. Unfortunately the show itself was overlooked this year, and no other cast-mates were nominated either.

The winners will be announced Sunday, January 13th (in exactly one month), next year.

Empire magazine has revealed their list of the 100 Sexiest Movie Stars ever, and of course Salma Hayek is on it! She came in on the 24th spot with the following description:

Mexican-born Salma is every bit the Latin temptress, what with that fiery temperament, sexy semi-permanent pout and, sweet mother of Jesus, body sent from heaven. A bunch of sexy roles, from Dogma to Desperado, ensures Salma is a hottie for the ages.

You vote how many times as you want by ranking each of the women on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the most desirable – e.g. Salma Hayek). Let’s make sure Salma ends up higher than last year’s 32nd spot (75% of Ask Men’s readers agreed that she should’ve ended up higher on the list). The final results will be revealed on January 31st next year.

USA and Sci Fi Channel president Bonnie Hammer, Caryn Mandabach and Salma Hayek are among the 50 new honorees for the Paley Center for Media’s “She Made It: Women Creating Television and Radio.”

The initiative, launched in 2005 by the Paley Center (formerly the Museum of Television & Radio), aims to “celebrate the achievements of creative and business women in the industries of television, radio and new media.”

The honorees were selected by the Paley Center in consultation with a steering committee led by co-chairs Loreen Arbus and Kay Koplovitz. The third annual “She Made It” ceremony is set for Dec. 6 at the Paley Center in New York.
