A smattering of Hollywood stars made their way out to Dubai’s latest attraction, the Atlantis hotel, for the second annual Cinema Against AIDS gala in Dubai, which raised $1.8 million Friday night. Fellow co-chairs Salma Hayek and Laura Linney attended alongside Jeffrey Wright, Danny Glover, Harry and Pamela Belafonte, Oliver Stone, Terry Gilliam and Anna Ferzetti. The Hollywood glitterati mingled with local movers and shakers, many of whom came decked out in national dress.
AmfAR’s annual Cinema Against AIDS galas have generated nearly $44 million since 1993 for AIDS research. Thirty three million people live with AIDS worldwide. Source: The Hollywood Reporter |
