Salma Hayek has thrown a star-studded party to celebrate Penelope Cruz’s Oscar nomination. The lavish bash was held at Salma’s Hollywood Hills home on Monday evening (26.01.09) and boasted a guest list crammed with Hollywood’s hottest stars. Penelope, 34 – who is in the running for the Best Supporting Actress accolade for her role in Vicky Cristina Barcelona – was joined by famous friends including her co-star Scarlett Johansson and her husband Ryan Reynolds, Ashton Kutcher and his wife Demi Moore, Michael Douglas and his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, Antonio Banderas and his wife Melanie Griffith and Charlize Theron and her partner Stuart Townsend. Prince, Drew Barrymore, Eva Mendes and Salma’s rumoured love interest Colin Farrell were also in attendance. A source said: “It was all celebrities, with one per cent normal people. Everyone’s eyes were riveted to the door, wondering who would come in next.” Salma chose a Vicky Cristina Barcelona theme for the party – which was co-hosted by Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein – and the house was decorated with photographs of Penelope. The host personally welcomed her guests and introduced them to her 16-month-old daughter Valentina. The source added to the New York Daily News newspaper: “Everyone gushed about how beautiful Valentina is. Salma was so proud.” Salma and Colin – who was sporting a freshly shaved head – were later seen going upstairs to put Valentina to bed. Source: Monsters & Critics |

I feel Salma hayeks heart in everything she does, I know she has tried so hard to defer to her public, and those whom live from her name.. the love which live within her soul…. Salma loves life itself therefore all she manifests to her family in friends is the sincere outlook of herself..hoping always for a change and making of her triumph a one to be accounted for with a difference in her sorrounding especially her RAICES.. Mexicanas..
I admire her for the woman she is… I recall a moment in my lifetime where she asked my father to give her a role in his film, and my father thoughtful about who she was he asked her to await…. Until the day of today.. that role is still on call and meant to be acted only by her, and what a better other half than penelope… i love human beings who manifest thir heart…
