According to the polling firm “E-Poll Market Research”, which provides appeal rankings for more than 3,000 celebrities (both men and women), 65% of the U.S. population would use the term “sexy” to describe Salma. And while anything but ugly herself, Hayek scored big with ABC’s freshman dramedy Ugly Betty. In addition to her role as the show’s executive producer, she won over audiences as Daniel Meade’s love interest and women’s magazine editor Sofia Reyes. Off-screen, Hayek is carrying the baby of billionaire fiancé Francois-Henri Pinault. Salma’s not the only 40-something on the list. Fifth-ranked Halle Berry and 14th-ranked Pamela Anderson, both 40, made it, as did Elizabeth Hurley, 42. Hurley tied for the ninth slot on the list. Below is the top 10 sexiest celebrities in Hollywood, followed by how many percent of the population would describe them as “sexy”.

Thousands of votes were cast in the Sexiest Women of 2007 poll by FHM. The results are in and our Salma got twice as high on this year’s list compared to last year! She was named the 18th sexiest woman of 2007 (last year she was voted #36), though we all know she should’ve been higher. This is what FHM said about Salma:
“An Oscar nomination for Frida and a hit television show, Ugly Betty, have proven that Salma is more than just a body, but you should enjoy it while you can — she recently announced she’s engaged and pregnant.”
Winner of the list was the sexy Sin City & Fantastic Four-star Jessica Alba, followed by American idol-contestant Katharine McPhee (at #2) and actress Scarlett Johansson (at #3).
