Tonight’s the night, let’s hope for lots of new Salma-goodies! Stay tuned for the first photos here at Encantadora!

Madonna is hooking up with Gucci to raise money for orphans in the impoverished southern African nation of Malawi. According to a Reuters report, the singer will host a fundraising dinner with a musical performance and party on February 6, as part of the opening of the biggest Gucci store in the world, on New York’s Fifth Avenue. Madonna said the event will benefit UNICEF and Raising Malawi, a charity she co-founded in 2006 to help end poverty in the country. The event is expected to raise $2 million and will feature such co-chairs as Salma Hayek, Adrien Brody, Lucy Liu, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher and Gwyneth Paltrow.

OH MY GOD! Salma is BACK! After almost seven months with no public appearances, Salma attended the Opening of the New Sergio Rossi Store yesterday. And let me tell you – it was worth the wait! Salma looked absolutely breathtaking, one of the best looks ever, really! Can you believe she had an adorable baby just some months ago? View all the photos right away by clicking on the previews below!

Salma Hayek held court in five-inch Sergio Rossi black patent leather and silk heels Wednesday night, announcing to her dinner guests, “These are the only shoes that don’t hurt my feet! For this reason alone, you have to wear Sergio Rossi.”

The occasion, an intimate dinner at Bastide in honor of Sergio Rossi’s new Melrose Place boutique and its creative director Edmundo Castillo, drew a unison of nods from Hayek’s Ugly Betty cast mates. “Salma’s been talking about them for ages,” said Ana Ortiz. “But of course, she snagged the best pair for tonight – no one else could wear those because they brought them from New York.”

As Hayek and Castillo cozied up to each other at dinner, the actress couldn’t help but play the role of doting mother. “It’s the first night I have left Valentina at home and I’m having pangs,” admitted the actress, who, stunning in a jeweled YSL dress, somehow managed to be the last one standing at the end of the night–flanked by her furniture designer brother Sami and pals Mia Maestro, Rachel Zoe, and Vanessa Williams, who playfully let slip that her nickname on the set is “V-Dub.”

This is an alert about a possible public appearance by Salma – tonight! Let’s cross our fingers for some new Salma-photos! EDIT: I haven’t been able to find any photos from this event, unfortunately. Perhaps Salma didn’t attend it at all.

USA and Sci Fi Channel president Bonnie Hammer, Caryn Mandabach and Salma Hayek are among the 50 new honorees for the Paley Center for Media’s “She Made It: Women Creating Television and Radio.”

The initiative, launched in 2005 by the Paley Center (formerly the Museum of Television & Radio), aims to “celebrate the achievements of creative and business women in the industries of television, radio and new media.”

The honorees were selected by the Paley Center in consultation with a steering committee led by co-chairs Loreen Arbus and Kay Koplovitz. The third annual “She Made It” ceremony is set for Dec. 6 at the Paley Center in New York.
