Salma will attend the 2008 Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF). The festival starting running tomorrow, December 11th-18th.
Hollywood heartthrobs Nicholas Cage and Brendan Fraser will heat up the cool desert nights at DIFF 2008, along with Oliver Stone, Danny Glover and Eliza Bennett. Nicolas Cage will attend with legendary producer Charles Roven (The Dark Knight, Batman Begins, the Brothers Grimm), who will receive a Filmmaker of the Year award at DIFF 2008. Salma Hayek, Goldie Hawn and Laura Linney are all set to grace the 2008 amfAR red carpet.

I’ve added the very first photos of Salma at “CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute” – I’m positive more will be added later. Salma looked absolutely ravishing in her midnight blue gown. This is definitely one of my favorite recent looks of hers!
Remember that the show will be broadcast globally on CNN, CNN International and CNN en Español at 9 p.m. ET/PT November 27 (0200 GMT November 28).

Salma Hayek has bagged the US based Multicultural Motion Picture Association’s Diversity Awards. Assumably Salma is attend to the Universal Studios’ Global Theatre in California for the award. No word on the date yet.
The 2008 Renaissance Artist Award, given to diversely talented artists who have made an impact worldwide, has been given to Salma Hayek, Monica Belluci and Halle Berry. The citation of the award states, “Distinctive on-screen persona that is uniquely their own and allows their character depictions to bring audiences from laughter to tears.”

Grammy Award winners Alicia Keys and John Legend will perform at “CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute,” airing on Thanksgiving on CNN. John Legend will sing “If You’re Out There” from his just-released album “Evolver.”
Hosted by CNN’s Anderson Cooper, the program honors the top 10 CNN Heroes of 2008 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California. The show will be broadcast globally on CNN, CNN International and CNN en Español at 9 p.m. ET/PT November 27 (0200 GMT November 28).
Each of this year’s top 10 CNN Heroes will be honored in a documentary tribute and introduced by a celebrity presenter. Actors Cameron Diaz, Salma Hayek, Forest Whitaker, Meg Ryan, Terrence Howard, Lucy Liu, Jessica Biel, Kate Beckinsale and Selena Gomez are among the stars participating in the event. In addition, actor Hugh Jackman will present People magazine’s 2008 Heroes Among Us award to six recipients honored by the magazine this year. People is partnering with CNN for this portion of the telecast.
