Salma Hayek is now the spokeswoman for the Pampers/UNICEF campaign against tetanus, today she attended a press conference in Switzerland. (read report). It is so good to post on things like this, Salma is such an intelligent and caring lady! You can check out pictures in the gallery.

Actress Nicole Kidman will be honored at Elle magazine’s annual Women in Hollywood Tribute and will receive her award from legendary Hollywood starlet Shirley MacLaine, according to E! Online.

The October 15 ceremony will be the 15th annual event and will celebrate eight of Hollywood’s most popular and powerful leading ladies.

Actress Isla Fisher, whose film credits include Wedding Crashers, will accept an award from television star Courtney Cox. Actress Salma Hayek will also be honored at the event and will be awarded by her best friend, Mia Maestro.

Actress Jane Fonda will also receive a tribute from Kerry Washington, her former costar in the New York City reading of the play, Necessary Targets.

Well, it is time to announce the big news of the site. Mycah and myself have taken over Salma-Hayek.net from the lovely Filip. You may know us from such sites as Amber-Heard.net, Michael C. Hall Online, Captivating Cruz and Scarlett-Fan.com. We are both long time fans of Salma Hayek and could not be more thrilled to take over this site. A big round of applause goes out to Filip, who has done a spectacular job maintaining the site for over two years! Unfortunately, Filip is too busy to run it anymore. To start things off, I’ve updated the gallery with hundreds of new HQs from all of the latest events that Ms Hayek has been photographed at. Earlier today, she attended the Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week. Dressed in black, Salma was photographed arm-in-arm with the father of her daughter, Francois-Henri Pinault. It is so nice to see them happy together even despite the break-up. Hopefully Salma will attend more images during the Fashion Week.

I’ve finally uploaded 215 photos from the 2008 Crystal + Lucy Awards, “A Black And White Gala”, which was held on June 17th in Beverly Hills. Salma Hayek looked absolutely fantastic as she walked down the red carpet, and later, got honored at the event. Below are a few tidbits from the event.

“I’m 41 now, and I have to say, it is the best time in my life.” That prompted Jada Pinkett Smith – who was also being recognized, along with her costars from the upcoming chick flick, The Women – to shout out, “You look good!”

“I have learned to enjoy time to be a woman. I have learned to enjoy how to do the most that I can with what I have,” the Ugly Betty producer explained. “It is a good thing to be a 41-year-old Latina woman in America.”

She also gave a shout out to fellow Latina Eva Mendes (another star of The Women), who responded with a loud, “I love you, Salma!”
