While Salma didn’t attend The 81st Annual Academy Awards she did pop in to the Vanity Fair After Party like previously reported. There she wore a black Balenciaga dress and paired it with tights. While her hair was very Hollywood glamour in lose waves. Salma looked so beautiful at the event!

At the after party we got the first look at Salma’s wedding ring and she congratulated her good friend Penélope Cruz who became the first Spanish actress to win an Academy Award.

Vintage shoots update part cuatro. Check out this great shoot of Salma taken back in 1999 for Glamour magazine. Miss Hayek took part in three movies that year including some of her most memorable roles like Dogma and Wild Wild West. I personally loved Salma’s hairstyle back then, she looked so beautiful!

Is she or isn’t she attending the Oscars? That is the question. Just yesterday I posted about Harvey Weinstein’s confidence in Salma making an appearance and today a report with L.A. hairdresser-to-the-stars (and Salma’s personal hairdresser many times) Robert Vetica said that Salma isn’t attending the ceremony; but she will be at some after parties!

Q: Where will you be watching the Oscars this year?
A: I have to do Marion again, but then I have a feeling I’m gonna be at Salma’s house. She’s not going to the ceremony, but I’m gonna get her ready for the parties afterwards, so I’ll hang out there and watch the Oscars. She’s like family to me. We grew up together.

I know we’re all hoping Salma will attend this Sunday’s Oscar celebration but she has not officially been announced to or scheduled for presentation so it’s anyone’s guess at the moment.

Movie studio mogul Harvey Weinstein says he’s “sure” that newlywed Salma Hayek will be at the Oscars on Sunday. “I hope so — I’m sure,” he told OK.

Some have suggested Salma would go in support of Penélope Cruz, which very well could happen. Penélope recently announced in an interview she has her brother, sister, mom a best friend from Spain going with her for sure.

We’ll have to see on Sunday!
